Thoughts an designs

I'm trying to work out exactly how I want to construct the afghan I"m making. I decided, after making the butterfly square for the comfortghan, to make a thyca-ghan. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but I have the yarn in the correct colors.

Dunno why I'm blogging this - it's more incomplete thoughts than anything.... oh well....

When you write them down we can pester you about it later on. Isnt that why we do it?

What sweater, I dont know what you are talking about.

Just some random thoughts for you on it:

* Can you do multiple colors in each square or does the design not allow that to work well?
* Do you want to do a checkerboard design or maybe a radiating out design in the color layout?
* Do you want to do a "sashing" style of borders between the squares? Kinda like a quilt layout? Or do you want them to be right next to one another like is done in crochet blankets?
* If you do sashing, would you pick one color that might be too strong in the squares or would you pick a different color (white/ecru) to make them all pop?

Just thought I'd help add to the rambly thoughts. That's how we design, dear.

Just had another idea for you....If you do a sashing style of borders between the squares, you could repeat the butterfly motif across them. I'll have to sketch it out to show you what I mean, but it could look cool.
